World Economy and Pink Floyd

Us and Them

The United States was struggling through the great depression when Pearl Harbor was bombed.

Suddenly, on a dime, the will of the nation changed. Political differences vanished and Americans had a common enemy. The government started building tanks, ships, and airplanes. Unemployment vanished and people had money to spend to fuel the economy. Prosperity continued for decades after the axis surrender in 1945.

Today, perhaps, we need a common enemy to focus on, to do what needs to be done.

It will likely need to be from outer space, since the whole world is in this financial mess.

In America, the problem is made worse by the two political parties, who both truly beleive they are right, and doing the right thing, to cure our financial ills.

DNA Research

….during the 1990’s, three Nobel laureates  in medicine, advanced research that reveled the primary function of DNA lies not in protein synthesis, as was widely believed for the past century, but in electromagnetic energy reception and transmission.

My United Kingdom Pals

A friend, Sophie Gemma Jackson, who I met online, determined that we had mutual interests and a mutual attraction and respect for each other, even with our age difference, Gemma introduced me to two of her friends. Emily and Tori.

We are now sharing, and enjoying the different perspectives of our consciousness from me in my early sixties, and a So Cal native, to their mid twenties perspective from the UK, and our mutual respect and admiration for Sir Winston Churchill.   Two speeches in particular, "Never Surrender" June 4, 1940  and their "Finest Hour" June 18, 1940, are two of our favorites!
